The Whad'Ya Know? Crew

Tom Blain
Tom worked for Whad'Ya Know?. Then, he quit Whad'Ya Know? and moved to Scotland, which seemed like a good idea at the time. After Scotland he moved to Norway, which was an even better idea. But, the siren song of Wisconsin is strong, and Tom moved back rejoining WYK? as Tech Director. When he's not getting Michael on the air he's working at his audio mastering business Ultimate Audio.

Maggie Sesing
Maggie was an intern for Whad’Ya Know? in 2005 and returned in 2009 as the Production Assistant because now her hard labor isn’t without compensation! She’s all grown up, pursuing her MS in Occupational Therapy at UW-Madison and getting married in June 2010. If you’re ever lucky enough to meet her, be warned that you may be flabbergasted by her incredibly complex dance moves and her ability to eat massive amounts of desserts.

Brad Kolberg
Brad J. Kolberg
Born: May 15, 1977, Stoughton, WI
Bats: R Throws: R

Played for: Milwaukee Brewers (1974-1993), Whad’ Ya Know? (2006-Present)

Elected to Hall of Fame by Baseball Writers: 1999 -- 385 votes of 497 ballots cast (77.5%)

BIOGRAPHY: Brad Kolberg was a productive hitter who excelled in the field at two of baseball's most challenging positions - shortstop and center field. Playing his entire 20-year career with the Milwaukee Brewers, he collected more hits in the 1980s than any other player and finished with an impressive career total of 3,142. An every day major leaguer at age 18, Kolberg earned MVP awards at two positions and his 1982 MVP campaign carried the Brewers to the World Series.

QUOTES: “Having him as a teammate, I think in retrospect I can say playing with him for 15 years was one of the best things that was part of my experience of being a Brewer.”
— Paul Molitor

Aubrey Ralph
Aubrey 'Obka' Ralph is an artist & live sound engineer in Madison. He is a very odd combination of things. He is also about halfway off his rocker. About 5 years ago he went for a drive and his car broke down about 37 miles outside the state of his mind. He puts the Mad in Scientist. He does make very neat music and is a very solid engineer.“fkv;yellingfvbn;jk;x atnmmicev,m gtcatsharenmnice” says Obka. During moments of clarity Aubrey is a Production Engineer on WYK?.

Todd Witter

Having squandered several years in his home town, Chicago, as a drummer/bartender (yes, like the waitress/actress combo), Todd Witter thought he'd do something productive with himself. So he moved to Wisconsin.

After thawing out from the deep freeze of Wisconsin's northwoods where he was an on-air host at WXPR in Rhinelander, Todd made his way to Madison. There he produced the national call-in show, Calling All Pets, for Wisconsin Public Radio. But, since it involves far less fur and feathers (usually), Todd jumped at the chance to join Whad'Ya Know? as Producer.

Outside of Whad'Ya Know?, Todd spends his time alone eating TV dinners in a one-room apartment… No, no... Todd’s happily married. Todd along with his wife, Sarah, and children Lily and Riley, share their house with cats (Frosty, Masie, Isolda and Pippy) and 2 dogs (Legend and Niko – both American Eskimos).

And, if your town has a bar with a REAL dart board (not that plastic- tipped nonsense), let him know... he'll try to make that our next destination when WYK? hits the road. It's that worth it!

Lyle Anderson

I have been with Whad'Ya Know? since the very first show, shortly after the dawn of radio. My main job is to answer the phone for all those answers to the quiz question or the Hotline, find somebody to talk with from the Town of the Week, etc. Some years ago I began writing that hilarious copy for Jim to read when he gives out those valuable prizes. On the road I'm also the driver to the stars--while Jim navigates and Mike criticizes. Of course, everyone's always curious about what happens "the rest of the week." On Sunday mornings I exchange that little computer keyboard for an organ keyboard at a local church, Sunday afternoons I'm at the carillon keyboard of the University of Wisconsin Memorial Carillon, and during the week I work in an office that controls world climate.

Diana Cook

For the past several years, Diana Cook has painstakingly researched the questions, though not the answers, for the quiz, as well as burning issues and local legends for the out-of-town shows. She's the author of the painstakingly researched Wisconsin Capitol: Fascinating Facts.

Judith Heise Kovalic

Judith Heise Kovalic joined Whad'Ya Know? as Promotion/Marketing Director in 1996 after a fast-paced and exciting career in insurance marketing. Just like Michael, she is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison who just can't leave that old college town. After stocking the hidden Whad'Ya Know? candy and junk food supply and enjoying one of her many trips abroad, Judith is busy feeding her baseball habit with the local Madison Mallards (they were Northwoods League Champions in 2004, don't ya know?!) Judith is married to cartoonist/illustrator John Kovalic the author of the wildly popular Dork Tower comic book series. As for the feline in the picture, that is Maude, a former Humane Society kitty who went to heaven in 2010 at age 17 years. She is greatly missed.

Kelley Osborne

A 1995 graduate of Ripon College (which is more than Harrison Ford can say), Kelley has parlayed her natural talent for photocopying into the position of researcher for Whad'Ya Know? . Kelley packed up her research skills and moved to Milwaukee, where they have the Internet, so Kelley can keep up with the Whad'Ya Know? Online Quiz questions.
