Hour 1

:00 - A rebroadcast of a show from June 1998 when Michael broadcast from the Palace Theater in Cleveland, Ohio. Program opening, sponsors, and the man "who is thinking of putting together a little ownership group..."

:02 - All The News That Wasn't from Cleveland, Ohio. The Cleveland "James" Browns with the shotgun defense, and Cleveland "friend" Art Modell. Lots of sports woes back in 1998 for a Cleveland fan. Also, rowdie teens demand a McDonald's; that's Garfield, 1-2-3-2-3; trash collection (or not); and rock 'n roll museum has some new exhibits including a payola room; plus Canadiens swimming the lake looking for Viagra.

:08 - Guest Interview with Sister Mary Assumpta, the Cleveland Sports Nun. Wearing her Indians jacket over her habit, Sister Mary is free to support her teams in addition to her other sacred duties. Sister Mary gives the team until mid-May if the pitching needs work, she's leary if they're strong out of the gate, and she's surprised by David Bell. No, she doesn't have a tatoo, but she does have a baseball card!

:19 - Playing along with the band this week is Howie Smith on saxophone.

:25 - In the audience Michael meets Rich who wonders what a Milwaukee boy thinks of Cleveland? Well, it seems like the plane left Milwaukee, turned around and ended up back in Milwaukee. Emily can distinguish the highest of the Heights, and does Howie Smith look like Alan Alda?

:31 - The Four Disclaimers and Whad'Ya Know? Quiz with Michael and Jane. Some Cleveland queries including what is the "full Cleveland?", Cleveland population of the city in 1800, and Clevelander boat ownership. A few other questions about the Senate and Yankees, and we've got a couple of winners.

:47 - Local musical sensation, Cats on Holiday, get the places jumpin' with this tune. Dig their tunes? Check them out on the web.

Hour 2

:00 - From the Palace Theater it's program opening, sponsors, and the man "who is offering Whad'Ya Know? shares at $15.00 a pop...."

:01 - Guest interview with graphic novelist Harvey Pekar. Harvey's book "American Splendor" is a-life-as-it-really-is comic, but it's not kids' stuff. Harvey is a renaissance man who has had eight bad experiences on Late Night With David Letterman. Harvey's life is an open book, and you can learn more about him at the Dark Horse Comics web site.

:22 - The Whad'Ya Know? Trio is a quartet with Howie Smith on sax for this jazzy number.

:27 - Back into the audience Michael goes to find Mary who would "submit graciously" to Bill if he asked real nice. Then a piano-player man, a Pittsburgher who crossed the border for the show, and Jane, the Queen of Rock'n'Roll.

:36 - The Whad'Ya Know? Quiz with Cathy and Jonathan. How could there be so many questions about Cleveland? The inventor of the fare box, Hope Memorial Bridge, and Art Modell's toilet all feature in the Quiz this hour. Play along and learn about a great Ohio city!

:50 - Cleveland eats with Laura Taxel and restauranteurs Gilda and Carla Carnacelli. Cleveland is a great town for eating. The variety of immigrants has given the city a wonderful mix of restaurants. Gilda and Laura brought some of their Italian delicacies with them for Michael (and the band) to sample. Check out The Palazzo at 101st and Detroit in Cleveland!
