Whad'Ya Know? For September 17, 2005
Hour 1 :00 - A live broadcast from Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio. :02 - All The News That Isn't from Cleveland and Greater Ohio. :05 - Guest interview with Pulitzer-prize-winning columnist Connie Schultz from the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Connie and Michael cover everything from single parenting and the joys of a strong-willed teenager to the state of American journalism. Now which one is a babe and which one is hot? :31 - The Whad’Ya Know? Trio keep it upbeat and groovy. :35 - In the audience Michael takes some time to pose for a picture and contemplate the audiences’ feelings about Pittsburgh. :40 - The Four Disclaimers (thanks Rudy Rence!) and the Whad’Ya Know? Quiz with a couple people who know more German than the Ambassador and can guess how many Clevelanders have posed naked. Hour 2 :00 - Back for the second hour of the live broadcast from Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio. :01 - Musical guest Judith Owen sings her way into our hearts. :14 - Guest interview with Stephen Post from the Center for Research on Unlimited Love. Stephen studies the unselfish kind of love and how that affects health and well-being. We were happier in the 1930s when we all used outhouses, so, what happened? :29 - The Whad’Ya Know? Trio play a little traveling music while Michael heads into the audience looking for some unlimited love. Carrie was dragged here today, but she still has a question about “the most funniest” and the “most rememorable show.” Nobody wants to hear Warren’s question, really. :38 - Whad’Ya Know? Quiz with Dave and Jennifer who display their knowledge of chimney swifts, Packers vs. Browns, and men and manicures. It’s a comeback story! :49 - Guest interview with chef and restaurant owner Michael Symon. Mr. Symon took on the Iron Chef Morimoto – did he win battle asparagus? A broken arm paved the way to a career in cooking, that and Mom’s great Mediterranean cuisine. Michael’s culinary observation? Every culture has a stuffed dumpling and a salami.
