Hour 1

:00 - Program opening, sponsors and the man "who taught me all I know about Cowboy Poetry...."

:01 - All The News That Isn't

:07 - Guest Interview with journalist Barbara Ehrenreich, author of "Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By In America." -- Barbara pitched a story idea to Harper's Magazine about sending a journalist under cover to work at minimum wage service jobs to reveal what real life is like for millions of Americans. The editors sent Barbara packing to Minneapolis, Florida and Maine to try out life as a waitress, housekeeper, nursing home attendant, and clerk in "women's fashions" at Wal Mart. Barbara will be much neater from now on when she is shopping for clothes. It's not easy to get by making $7.50 an hour (tips included) and living in a residential hotel in Minneapolis in the winter.

:26 - John had his day bussing table when he was a young college lad. But no more, now he's putting those hands to good use playing "Raining In My Heart."

:33 - In the audience Michael meets Irv, and lots of his friends from the Heartland Ski Club. Irv would really like to go to bed, but that's all Irv ever wants. Then meet Marge who came to Wisconsin for some humidity, and Buck who keeps losing his wedding ring. Wonder what that means?

:45 - The Four Disclaimers and Whad'Ya Know? Quiz -- The Qualifying Question is a tough one this week. Let's see if someone can figure it out in the next hour.

Hour 2

:00 - Program opening and sponsors.

:01 - Whad'Ya Know? Quiz -- Finally Josh comes through with the answer about Russican Cities you shouldn't put on your vacation plans. The integrities of Princeton University and Kellogg Business School are on the line. Will they hold up with questions about co-worker toilet stall usage, lost nuclear bombs in Savannah, and the manute?

:13 - The Place To Be -- On A Family Vacation with Doug Kirby from Roadside America -- When he was growing up Doug and his family spent their summers on the road exploring the highways of the United States. Doug took those memories and made them into his business, the books and web site roadsideamerica.com. Check out snake ranches, a parrot jungle, nike missile bases, and the Mitchell Corn Palace. You'll want to jump into the car and head out on an adventure.

:26 - John has had a few of those family vacations, including a trip to Mitchell South Dakota for the Corn Palace. When he's not traveling he's playing these great tunes.

:31 - In the audience Michael meets Dorothy from Harvard, Illinois, which claims superiority to Wisconsin in milk production. Those are fighting words to Wisconsinites! Maybe the presentation of a cow hat will soothe some nerves. Then meet some folks on a hockey-themed vacation. So far they've visited more than 100 hockey arenas (not all on this trip). They're on a search for the perfect souvenir puck, and they won't rest until they've got one.

:43 - Whad'Ya Know? Quiz -- Cade and Sean aren't from Princeton University, but they do know a lot about NASA sampling the sun, blanks in memory, parking RVs at WalMart and other names for a codpiece. It may be a sweep of the motherlode of prizes for these smart guys.
