The Appalachian Trail with Earl Shaffer

In 1948 Earl Shaffer packed the rucksack he used while serving in the Pacific during World War II and headed down the Appalachian Trail. Well, it's 1998 and Earl, at the tender age of 79, decided to do it again. So, Earl packed that same rucksack, put on a pair of work shoes, and headed down the trail.
