Thanks for the Memos

Stack of Memos Some time ago, about 1985, someone sent a memo from a hospital pathology unit, which described the conversion of the men's toilet into a doctor's office and the domino effect it had on the elevator's transformation into the autopsy dressing room. Needless to say, I was hooked: "Thanks for the Memos" was born.

Since that fateful moment I have received (which is not to say kept, as it quickly begins to get ridiculous) some six or seven thousand memos. This section is dedicated to the pursuit of memos. Browse our offerings and be sure to send us your own additions.

Michael Bolton--you just don't care
September 16, 2000

First, the big news in outer space, the toilet has been installed in the new space station. A lot fewer space walks in their future, I'd guess. Then, it's sturgeon season in Wisconsin, in case you're up here and are looking for a 70-incher, unless it is older than you. Then, you're getting thrown back. Finally, a memo, not really, more of a letter...."loved your concert in Maine, and wished I'd had a chance to meet you, Michael Bolton...you just don't care about us..."
