Through her pieces in The New Yorker and her books, Susan explores the obsessions and passions that drive folks into carving out their little niche in the world. The guy who designs the fish windows, the button lady, and the story of the girl band The Shags, are all stories where Susan found herself strangely drawn in to peoples' lives.
