Phil would tells us about the local government in Peoria, but the macaw at the city council meetings isn't talking.

Former President Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College just a few miles from Peoria, and that's where the Reagan Peace Garden now blooms. Historian Junius Rodriguez has written about Reagan's time at Eureka, including his time as a bus boy in the girls' dormitory, his activism and athleticism, and his eventual achievements in world peace.

It's more that a disturbance to Hank Helenek from Bradley University, the Glasford Disturbance was really a major meteorite that struck Illinois a few million years ago. The damage wasn't too bad, unless you were a trilobite under the impact location. Moving at 10 miles per second, there wasn't time to get out of the way if you had been standing there. The final hole? About one half mile deep and 2 miles (or so) across. Then there were the glaciers.
