It's stacked on his back porch, floor to ceiling, in 81 cartons. There are millions of words and hundreds of thousands of pages, all just to document a rather ordinary life. Robert Shields started his diary in 1935, but really started to work at it in 1972. He's written 1200 poems at least 5 are good.
